I went to bed one night in my attic bedroom, which had a skylight window. I could lie in bed and see the stars most nights, but this particular night had a full moon. I stood on my bed and peeked out the window at the moon before I got into bed. When I lay in bed I couldn’t see the moon, as it was low in the sky. I drifted off to sleep.

In my dream I became aware of a bright light. I told myself it was the full moon shining through the window. In fact, this light couldn’t have been the moon, because it moved across the night sky and seemed to give off heat. All I know is that I was in a half-awake, half-asleep state. I physically opened my eyes and saw a bright warm light. I smiled and shut my eyes. Then all of a sudden I was in a white room, on a white bed, surrounded by beings in white. I don’t recall a great deal of detail about how they looked, just that they were tall beings in white. The atmosphere was calm. I could hear the beings talking. They spoke quite candidly about me.They were having a good old chat. The only thing I remember from their conversation is when one of them said, ‘Looks like she’s stuck.’ Hardly prophetic, but frank.

Then these beings started to heal me.They laid their hands on me and moved my arms and turned my body as if going over every inch of me. I briefly woke up and laughed in my bed because my arm was up in the air and it gently fell to the bed as if being moved. Whatever was happening, whatever they were doing, felt so good. I kept falling asleep and waking up mid-move, because I was being moved. I was still aware of this bright light all the while shining through the window.

At one point when I woke up, I turned over on to my side because that’s what they were telling me to do; they were still working on me, and I just smiled and said ‘thank you’ out loud. When I woke up the next morning I felt renewed. My life didn’t change dramatically overnight, but a couple of months later I got a job in Japan, where I lived for a year before returning to England where I met and fell in love with my husband. I now have two children and I am very happy!

Like Sara, Kathy also had a dream that comforted and reassured her:

Doing the right thing

My father died of throat and stomach cancer on 3 August 2007. I wasn’t sure if this is what he wanted but I had him cremated because he didn’t make his wishes known. Two months ago he came to me in a dream and he looked so well and happy. In my dream he told me that he was very pleased with and proud of me for the lovely funeral I had arranged for him.
